WHY FLORENCE
Florence has been dubbed the #1 city in Europe and #2 in the entire world for tourism (Rome is close behind at #3) by Travel + Leisure magazine. With Florence and Rome claiming spots #2 and #3 in the entire world, Italy wins the prize for the ONLY European country with two cities in the top five.
There are various reasons why tourists have been making their way to this Renaissance city for centuries: the food, the culture, the art, the people and so much more make Florence, Italy the ideal place from which to experience life abroad. The David, the duomo, the delectable dishes, and the designer duds will quickly become part of your daily life with Select Study Abroad Florence. (Check out Condé Nast’s December 2010 article on the merchant and artisanal treasures of Florence from the Renaissance to today here!)
