Our new program video is here!

We look forward to it every year. We get together (with lots of tissues) and we cull through the endless footage from the summer (and all the summers before). There’s laughter. There’s crying. There’s the ooh and the awww and then finally, there’s the perfect expression of how much the trip means to so many wonderful and amazing women. Its all the feels all the time. Enjoy.

Select Study Abroad & ADPi: Week Three in Florence!

This week was a doozy, in the best of ways. Where do we even begin? First, Venice, the floating city. Arguably the most magical place on earth, in our humble opinions, and it did not disappoint. We saw the gorgeous Byzantine Basilica of San Marco (where many of us were required to purchase extra “coverage” to get in), a glass blowing demonstration, WE WENT ON GONDOLA RIDES(!!), visited the Venetian Island of Burano (aka, candy land of Italy) and Murano, visited the gorgeous church known as the Frari and the Jewish Ghetto (ok, and maybe did a little shopping too). Then this week since we thought, hey, we’re on a roll, we saw the gorgeous sculptures by Michelangelo in the Medici chapel, ogled some amazing gowns in the Costume Gallery in the Pitti Palace, got in on a killer jewelry demonstration, went to most famous museum in Florence (also in Italy, and maybe even the world), the Uffizi, and even caught Italy’s Word Cup game. Up next? Cinqueterre, but that will have to wait until next week… Enjoy!Venetian_Fans Continue reading…

Highlights From Our Final Trip: Venice & Verona

Venice_ItalyThere is no combination of cities that screams romance more than Venice and Verona. Verona, the city where Romeo and Juliet supposedly once lived, and Venice, the city where, if they had really lived, they would have spent their honeymoon. It’s nothing like anywhere else in Italy and there is no use trying to describe it in words, it simply must be seen to be believed. It’s always a favorite so we always leave it for last. With three days in this enchanting city we have plenty of time to see the sites, get lost in the winding streets, watch a glass blowing demonstration, ride a gondola, and take a special trip out to one of the smaller islands off of Venice that many people visiting for the first time never manage to see. This summer we ventured to the stunning and surreal Island of Burano. Enjoy!
