Various volunteer projects and visits to local charitable organizations in Florence. These philanthropic opportunities relate to each sorority’s own philanthropic organizations and interests. See below for details and to learn about the meaningful impact our students have made over the years.
e believe in always doing your best to leave people and places better than when you found them. As visitors and temporary citizens of the beautiful city of Florence, this is especially true. During our programs, Select Study Abroad students will engage in local volunteer projects that give back to the city that gives us all so much.
to and volunteer opportunities at the local Ronald McDonald House (Casa Ronald Firenze), the Ospedale Meyer Children’s Hospital, and the Orti Dipinti educational community garden. Students devoted time and energy (and even some sweat) by planting, cooking, beautifying outdoor spaces, spending time and doing artistic projects with young children, collecting change and clothing to donate and helping families in need. Some of the summer’s most memorable moments happened while we stopped and turned our attention and energy to others. We look forward to continuing and building upon the contributions our past students have made.
