Ambassador Program

On-site learning outside of the classroomSelect Study Abroad students have two academic options for participation in our Italy program: The Ambassador Program (see below) and the College Courses at the Istituto Lorenzo de’ Medici.
The Ambassador Program
Price: $7,995*

The Select Study Abroad Ambassador program is a credit-free educational experience dedicated to immersing students in the rich culture of Italy. Each day, Monday through Thursday, is comprised of a unique on-site activity addressing a range of topics from the history of the city of Florence to learning more about its culinary delights. Lectures will be given throughout the city and largely by the expert Select Study Abroad team, giving students in-depth and hands-on knowledge of their host country. Upon successful completion of the Italian Ambassador program, students will be presented with a certificate of completion. This option is also ideal for participants with cultural or international interests and career goals.

"What I loved so much about the Ambassador Program was the hands-on experience to learn about Italy’s cuisine, museums, fashion, and crafts. This is one of the factors that makes Select Study Abroad different from other study abroad programs and one of the reasons why I chose this program. Making your own perfume, walking around different food markets, gilding lessons, and visiting various artisans in their work place left me mesmerized about Italy’s rich culture. The Ambassador Program allows sorority students to learn in a unique setting compared to taking academic courses or traveling alone. With Carrie, Kellin, Hannah, and Sean creating this incredible Ambassador Program, I was able to fully immerse myself in all that Italy had to offer and leave with an experience I will remember for the rest of my life.
- Hannah LeJeune, Louisiana State University
