APPLICATION INFORMATION

Applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Apply early to be guaranteed a space in the program and priority registration to enroll in your preferred courses.

The Select Study Abroad online application is an easy two-part process:

1. Basic application (personal details and contact information)
2. Submittal of an official transcript
Done! You will be contacted directly by Select Study Abroad staff once your application has been reviewed for registration in classes.

Transcript & GPA Information
Applicants are required to send an official transcript to Select Study Abroad for review. Students are expected to be in good academic standing and prepared to live and study in a foreign country.

If an applicant’s cumulative GPA is lower than 2.8, additional materials are required:
• 2 letters of recommendation from professors
• A student essay.
We understand that a student’s GPA may not entirely reflect their academic ability and we encourage all students who are serious about studying abroad to apply. Please contact us directly for more information. We will do everything that we can to help you participate in our programs.

Once the application is complete and we have received your official transcript, you will be contacted directly from the Select Study Abroad staff with further information about housing, registration in classed, and the study abroad process.

Deposit & Guarantee of Participation
Upon acceptance into the program, a $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a space in the program and to enroll in courses. The remainder of the balance due will be required at least 2 months before the start date of the program.

Accepted students will subsequently receive a detailed Course Schedule, Course Registration Form, Roommate Form, Invoice, Pre-Departure Guide, and other important materials. Once the non-refundable deposit and Course Registration form are received, the student will be enrolled in their preferred courses (pending availability).

PAYMENT & FINANCIAL AID

The program cost may be paid by check or credit card. Please note, an extra fee will apply for payments made by credit card. A personalized payment plan can also be arranged for interested participants.
Most universities offer financial aid to study abroad. If a student currently receives financial aid, they should be able to also receive financial aid during the summer.

Students should check with their home university's Financial Aid or Registrar's office for details on how to apply. Additional financial assistance is available to students in the form of scholarships and other awards.
